A couple of sad linings in a nice coat

So there's a design student who came up with a coat that converts to a sleeping bag.

Sad lining #1: the eliminationists in the comments section below the article are taking this as another excuse to hate on homeless people.

Sad lining #2: all the smart designs in the world aren't going to fix homelessness. Not with coats that convert to bedding. Not with shopping carts that convert to tent cabins. Not with shipping containers converted to houses. All of these clever little conversions are missing the basic necessity which is permission to stop moving along. That's just not as entertaining an answer as a new gadget.
