Puttin' on low-income housing at the Ritz

So, OK, I don't think people who do socially useful work should take vows of poverty or wear hair shirts or anything like that.

I do find this announcement kind of unseemly. If you're the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association and you plan to hold a "Spring Forum" on "developing affordable housing in today's evolving market place," don't for pity's sake locate it at the Ritz-Carlton/Marina Del Rey. That is just a little too rich "by and for multifamily developers involved in low-income housing tax credit, HUD-assisted, and USDA Rural Housing Services affordable housing."
