One less mini-wetland at Richmond Field Station

Several days back I posted some pictures Joel took showing a couple of soon-to-be-gone landmarks.

One was the old Doyle Drive approach to the Golden Gate Bridge, which they'll be tearing down any day now (This webcam link should show status.)

The other was some wild land at the Richmond Field Station (RFS) that is soon to become a new campus of Lawrence Berkeley Lab.

As the earlier item mentioned, he's sad that UC-Berkeley has already filled in an engineering experiment that reproduced the Kissimmee River in miniature and that, by default, became a thriving little ecosystem of its own.

Here are his pictures of the mini-Kissimmee at RFS: the first one taken in 2004, and the second in 2012. That's the same warehouse on the left of the first picture and at right in the second.
