Does City Hall have new plans for SoMa?

So the Mayor's Ofc of Housing has dropped support from two proposed low-income housing projects South of Market in San Francisco. That's according to Jim Meko, longtime Lorax of western SoMa, who asks, "Has SoMa become 'too good' for poor people?"

I'd been kind of thinking SoMa would become a couple of interlaced campuses: one for well-paid tech workers, one for low-income tenants in subsidized housing. But maybe the income mix is supposed to just edge on upward now?
