Sunday Farmer's Market in our "food desert"

Stone fruit, berries and greens are in season. Also the Heart of the City Farmers' Market has squashes, cabbages, nuts, a little meat and cheese, a lot of prepared foods. Clangin' and Bangin' doing "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Dock of the Bay." A few stalls away, a piggyback-busker (piggybusker?) tapping improvised drums in time with the pianist and the pro drummer. [In the picture below, that's the guy bending forward with the orange pennant behind him.] The market full of people who are neither rich nor poor who do seem to live here despite the rarity of our appearances in the business press.

"Food desert?" Come over here on a Sunday morning and say that.
