Disasters do affect the previously homeless

So nice to see this: the Centers for Disease Control are throwing an online discussion next week (ok, a "webinar") "on how homeless-serving organizations can be included in preparedness planning." Still not quite involving your actual genuine homeless people, but this at least looks good. It's a long step beyond the mentality that was evident in the 1989 Northern California earthquake, when more-or-less-homeless people who lost hotel rooms and possessions to building evacuations were treated as though they'd had nothing to lose at all.
